Essentially if W3C determines through their traffic monitoring that the browser has not been discontinued and currently accounts for at least 5% of web traffic, we will make sure your website is compatible with it.

A few things that we do to ensure compatibility with today's web browsing environments. We discourage the use of FLASH. We understand that FLASH is pretty to look at and can make your website do things that are "cool" but it has tremendous downsides. Currently the mobile web browsing on devices such as the iPhone, Droid and iPad do not and in some cases never intend to support FLASH. This is not a small demographic that can be overlooked anymore as the number of devices total near 100 million. In addition. due to poor performance and annoying uses such as flash pop-ups, many users are blocking FLASH in their web browsers. The good news is that there exists through the use of more modern technologies such as JQuery, Javascript and the burgeoning HTML5 standard, the ability to replicate some of the more popular visual and functions of Flash.

Coding standards today encourage the use of table-less designs and external CSS style sheets. Tidal Web embraces these standards as well. We however understand the need to make sure your website is compatible with older browsers that may not support all of these standards. Sometimes the use of a structure or contact form table is the safest way to ensure backwards compatibility depending on your design.
